Download the files, follow the included guide and connect your product. Five clear steps, with the search system already built. You control the infrastructure, domain and integration. Follow the version-specific README for the exact commands.
Plan for around 15 minutes of hands-on configuration if you are familiar with Python deployment and your hosting and tools are ready. This is an estimate, not a timed benchmark or guarantee. Downloading, uploading and importing the full library take additional time; first-time setup and custom integration may take longer.

Start with Python 3.9+ and SQLite FTS5. The current package includes search.py and a ready-to-query search.sqlite database. Local search needs no remote API key or third-party Python packages.
Follow the current package README to extract the SVG library without changing relative paths. Search records include svg_path; the supplied asset_file and asset_url helpers connect records to local files or your chosen asset host.
Wrap the Python search function in your server application and serve SVGs separately. Add HTTP routing, access controls and deployment configuration. Other database platforms require an adapter; the ZIP is not a ready-made Cloudflare deployment.
Test your search endpoint, resolved SVG paths and browser access separately. The reference search returns bounded results and hasMore, not an exact total or page cursors. Add caching, rate limits and monitoring for your deployment.

Noun Project: $25 minimum; $0.0095 per icon call. Extra service calls cost $0.0025 each and are excluded. The standard plan stops at 150,000 icon calls/month and 10,000 per day; one million needs a custom quote.
IconScout: Basic is $99 for 1,500 credits; Growth is $499 for 10,000. One icon download uses one credit. Search is free. Its separate free-content plan includes 500 monthly credits; it can cost $0 at low volumes. Ask for a custom high-volume quote.
Each row uses an illustrative monthly hosting budget for that download volume. These are planning assumptions, not provider quotes or measured costs. Actual hosting depends on storage, bandwidth, search workload, caching and your deployment.
Actual queries, traffic and shared-account usage can change your bill. Hosting is metered. The one-time $79 Pro Unlimited license, domain, setup, maintenance, backups and tax are extra. This is a model, not a measured average or capacity guarantee.

Comparison unit: one icon retrieval per download. Noun Project counts each request with an icon ID as an icon call; extra service calls are excluded here. IconScout uses one credit per icon. Its extra credits are optional and disabled by default; 25,000 included Business credits are not a hard limit. At one million downloads, “Custom quote” avoids presenting a list-price extrapolation as an agreed enterprise price.
