Public-domain dedication
SPDX: Unlicense
The Unlicense combines a public-domain dedication with a broad permission statement and a no-warranty disclaimer.
The Unlicense dedicates the covered work to the public domain and grants broad permission without a fixed expiry date. Its stated intent is a permanent relinquishment of the authors’ copyright in that version, not a subscription that must be renewed.
The effect of a public-domain dedication varies by jurisdiction. Keep the original statement as evidence of the release, and do not assume it clears third-party rights or covers newer, differently licensed work.
The packages below refer to the covered versions in Best Icons Approved 206 release 2026-09-06, not to future or differently licensed upstream releases. Read the original license.
This page is a practical summary, not legal advice. The official license text and each package's own copyright, license, and NOTICE materials control.
Covered packages
Use the package-specific source whenever it is available. It may contain the copyright holder's notice or additional NOTICE material that a generic family text cannot replace.
